Get ready for the most relatable post (if you're a Durham student).

It's one of the few sunny Saturdays in Durham. The summative season is lingering upon you and all you' craving is brunch. Yeah, I know. And the queue to Flat White Cafe is frustratingly long; who is actually ready to sacrifice an hour of their life for avocado on toast? Not you, at least not today. Thankfully, Durham is stuffed with cute cafés. That Saturday, we decided to walk a bit up Saddler Street and ended up in a little gem of a café that is Cafédral.

This place is somewhat hidden, so look out for wide open door and those stairs. Boy, those stairs are the cutest thing I've ever seen.

The interior is bright and spacious and as you can see the place was super busy at that time. It's full of plants and different lamps, each chair is different and there are random ornaments everywhere. It all fits together perfectly; it feels really warm and cozy. The tables are pretty spacious too, so you won't be disappointment if you decide to come there and work while sipping a cup of tea. Just talk to the staff before you open your laptop :)

As for food, the have a pretty standard spread, but they do execute it to perfection. There are scrumptious cakes, a variety of scones (that's what we tried and recommend) and also savoury snacks such as paninis. Of course, there are also your staple hot drinks and I'm happy to say they make great coffee. Soy milk is available for all the vegans or simply health freaks out there!

Soap & Glory are celebrating Galantines in February. It's all about celebration of friendship and femininity, so take a break from the library and take your favourite girls somewhere. Cafédral is a perfect place to spend an hour or two enjoying food, coffee and each other's company. And maybe to gift your friends some S&G Sexy Motherpucker lip glosses. No queuing included!
