Hey there!
It's finally March. Durham is seeing its first flowers, a blooming a little hesitantly, but still. I'm enjoying all the small signs of Spring immensely. It's time to emerge from the cave, shave the fur (or leave it like it is if that's your ting) and start getting ready for warmer days.
Today I'm going to review some shower and post-shower essentials by Soap & Glory. They make such a simple thing as everyday hygiene a more of a hygge experience. I'm sold.

The Scrub of Your Life This is an on-the-go product that can double as a body wash and a scrub. It's this clear jelly with cute pink scrubbing beads.

It goes beautifully on the S&G body puff, it gets so foamy and the puff itself acts as a scrub too, so you know, double the power. The scrub itself is rather gentle, though, which makes it great for everyday use. The Scrub of Your Life is scented with the classic Original Pink fragrance, which is an additional yay from me.

If you're, however, in for a bit of a scrubbier affair (that's the cringiest thing I've ever written), S&G has got you covered too. Their Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em is one heavy gun of a scrub. As you can see, it comes in a paste form, dense and full of salt, which is basically what makes it so effective. While putting so much salt on your poor winter body may sound drying and rather uncomfortable, this product is also packed with natural oils to leave your skin smooth and moisturised. As I said, this is a pretty strong scrub, so you may want to avoid being overly keen. I usually use it once a week, but your preferred frequency just depends on your skin.

I bet we're all guilty of promising ourselves to always moisturise and ending up too lazy most of the time. I find that if I've got a body butter that smells good and isn't too sticky, I don't skip moisturising as much. Butter Yourself fulfills both these conditions. As you can see, it has the texture of whipped cream, but it's way richer than it looks. I usually apply it generously on my legs after I get out of the shower. The thing about this product is that even though it's rich, it sinks in pretty fast and you don't have to wait for ages before putting your clothes/pyjamas on. It's packed with good stuff such as shea butter and fig extract that give your skin the moisture it needs. Fun fact, Butter Yourself also contains exfoliating AHAs, which additionally helps you get rid of the dead skin cells to leave your skin even smoother. I don't have to mention that it smells amazing, right?

That's pretty much it for Soap & Glory's recipe for a perfect spring shower, no pun intended. Here's my choice of a candle too, in case there wasn't enough pink in my bathroom. Now excuse me while I scrub myself summer body ready.
