Smoothie Star Review

Hi there! Today I'm coming at you with a review of a part of a range from Soap & Glory I've never tried before. And boy, do I regret it.

Here's a glimpse of what this range includes. It's the same usual awesome quality that S&G offers in their body product, but the cherry on the top of the cake here is the smell. The word 'smoothie' may be a little misleading, because when I say smoothie, I think bananas, mango and strawberries. Nothing further from what it actually is: imagine the scent of your kitchen when your homemade oatmeal cookies spent a good few minutes in the oven. It's oats, milk, brown sugar all melted together into a smell you want to bathe, sleep and live in. Because who wouldn't want to go through life smelling like a fresh cookie?

But anyway, let me break it down for you.

S&G Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub A rich and thick salt sea body scrub enhanced by the exfoliating power of oats. As you've probably seen in my face masks post, I love what oats do to the skin; they soothe and moisturise it. This baby also contains shea butter, honey, banana and sweet almond extract for a) unique scent b) moisturising effect. Make your shower its home and never complain about dry, flaky skin again.

S&G Smoothie Star Body Buttercream The ultimate skin softener. This product is a thick and rich body butter with a consistency of whipped buttercream. That's a good follow up after the Breakfast Scrub to make your freshly exfoliated skin extra soft and smooth. It owes its moisturising properties to shea butter, cocoa butter and coconut oil. Sounds delicious and so it is. Slather it on after shower and before bed and wake up smelling like a dream and with perfect skin.

S&G Smoothie Star Body Milk This is a lighter formula moisturiser for when you don't have too much time to spend looking at your lovely legs absorbing the product. It has a convenient pump for a non-messy application. It has all the coconutty and shea butter goodness, but also yogurt for an overall light formulation. It sinks in instantly so you are ready to go whenever.

And here's a comparison of all three, mainly so you can see the difference between the body buttercream and body milk. The latter is definitely a lighter formula.

And finally, a member of everybody's S&G favourite body sprays: S&G Smoothie Star Body Spray. There is not much philosophy going on around here: spray this product on your body, clothes and hair for a refreshing boost and for an ultimate cookie-fresh-out-of-the-oven experience. I may have overdosed on this a few times. No regrets.

All of these are in boots in a 3 for 2 offer, so if you want to lay your hands on these, now is the time!
