Our society did a pretty fascinating job elevating the importance of eyebrows. These days you don't need a business card - just show people your eyebrows. For all those who haven't quite reach their brow goals yet, Soap & Glory prepared something special. I'd like to say that I'm trying it out today - but to be honest, I've been wearing it everyday for two weeks now and this review was just waiting to happen.

A part of their Archery series, this D-I-Y Brow Bar is a do-it-all kind of product. In a compact, handy packaging you can find two powder shades, a brow wax, a highlighter and two small brushes. It's pretty mach all you need to create a number of long-lasting looks.

Here's a little close up of what it looks like. As you can see, it's well used already - sorry not sorry, I'm a big fan. Basically, those two shades of brow powder should cover a really wide range of different brow colours - from blonde to dark brown. I like that they included two shades - you can mix them and create a custom shade for your brows. I naturally have brown eyebrows and I additionally dye them even darker from time to time, so the darker shade works perfectly. Oh, one more thing. Have you ever bought an eyebrow product that ended up looking kinda orange-y? Fear no more: I'm happy to report that these powders are ashy and with no warm undertones. Win!

Here are my brows with no make up on whatsoever. I'm pretty lucky to have skipped the period of overplucking that many of my friends went through at some point (oh, those 90s kids). Still, my brows have some sparse areas and most of the tine I use some kind of product to even them out and recently it's been the Brow Bar.

The instructions say to first use the wax and the powder, but I find that what works for me is doing it the other way round. So, I first comb my brows and apply the darker powder shade to any sparse areas of my brows to even them out and then shape and then using the orange brush I apply a coat of wax to give them structure make sure they stay in place. Then I immediately comb then again - I stroke the inner corners of my brows up and as I go outward on my brows I move in upward and outward direction. This allows me to create a bit of a feathered look, which is my personal favourite. Last but not least, I apply the highlighter to my brow bones for the final touch.

My eyebrows are on in this picture. As you can see, I really like to go natural. If you do too, my only and most important protip is to do your eyebrows from a distance. When you use a small mirror close to your face you can easily overdo it in pursuit of that perfect brow. Eyebrows have a real power of completely changing the way your face looks - so it pays off to invest a bit of time and effort to find out what shape and colour suits you the most.

Alright, that's it for today! You can get your D-I-Y Brow Bar in Boots. Also, check out this offer - when you spend £14 or more on make up, you receive a gift worth £26.50! It includes my favourite eyeliner ever. Total steal.
